A CAR smashed into a terraced house in Poole this morning.
A black Volkswagen ploughed through the front wall of the property in Ashley Road before crashing into the front wall of the building, causing substantial damage to the glass window.
The vehicle sustained significant damage in the collision, which took place shortly after 7.30am this morning.
Debris was strewn all around the front of the house and pavement near the roundabout between Ashley Road and Alder Road.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "At 7.36am on Sunday, November 17, Dorset Police received a report of a collision in Ashley Road in Poole in which a vehicle had collided with a property.
"A man has been arrested in relation to driving offences. The local authority has been contacted due to a damaged lamppost and debris on the road."
