La Leche League Widnes & St Helens is a charity (part of La Leche League GB) which provides breastfeeding education, information and support to mothers and babies in the local community.

It hosts regular meetings, socials and café events in the community and also provide ante natal workshops and personal one on one breastfeeding support.

Support is provided by a qualified LLLI breastfeeding counsellor, who is trained in breastfeeding management and overcoming common challenges.

The group says many mothers cite accessing skilled support as one of the reasons why they stop breastfeeding, but may not know that this skilled support is here in their community.

It has a regular monthly meeting in St Helens, every third Wednesday of the month, plus other events.

The group can be found on Facebook at La Leche League Widnes & St Helens
