FESTIVE fun will arrive in Merseyside this week for the Liverpool ONE Christmas lights switch on.
Visitors will be able to take part in the ONE Big Christmas Street Party on Friday, November 15 from 4pm to 8pm.
There will be special performances from Merseyside's panto stars including actress Claire Sweeney, comedienne Crissy Rock and Radio City's Leanne Campbell.
Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) artists and a string of local choirs will also be performing such as: Sing Me Merseyside; Pop Vox Choir and Kaboodle.
A group of naughty elves will also be making their return this year to entertain and play tricks on event-goers.
Marketing director at Liverpool ONE Donna Howitt said: “Liverpool is in the top three UK cities to visit and there’s no better time to enjoy it than at Christmas.
"This festive season in Liverpool is truly shaping up to be one to remember – we have an absolutely packed calendar of events and what better way to kick it all off than with a street party!

"We’re delighted to bring together the region’s theatre stars, performers and artists to offer families an evening they won’t forget, and it’s completely free.
“Nothing says Christmas quite like a family panto, so we’re thrilled to have some of our biggest stars on board to entertain our guests, giving them a taste of what’s to come.
"We’re extremely lucky to have a city that’s overflowing with talent and we can’t wait to welcome them to help us celebrate.”
Also returning is the 30-metre Christmas tree alongside Alpine inspired carol-oke venue Bar Hutte which will make its return under the tree on Paradise Street.
Donna added: “The city’s appeal has gone from strength to strength and, this year, we’re incredibly excited to be launching the Polar Adenture, which promises to be the perfect addition to any festive family day out in Liverpool.”
