VAST crowds gathered in Victoria Square on Sunday for a ceremony of remembrance for the fallen.
The service, which took place beside the war memorial, saw veterans, servicemen and women, dignitaries and families stand together.
In glorious sunshine, it was noticeable how many youngsters took part in the occasion, with children watching on from their parents’ shoulders and planting crosses in front of the war memorial.

It was a beautiful tribute to the brave men and women who served their country both in the past and present.
