EIGHT people were arrested as drugs, air weapons and cash were seized by police last night.
The arrests were the result of officers spotting a Renault Scenic car being driven suspiciously shortly before 9pm on Ridgewood Drive, Sutton on Thursday.
The driver was seen entering a property on the street and once he left shortly afterwards, was stop checked where he was found in possession of a quantity of white powder.
Suspected drugs seized by police
A man was later arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled class A drug.
While officers were dealing with this initial incident, a teenage boy came out of the same property.
He swiftly made off on foot. A 15-year-old was later detained and arrested for obstructing a search under The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Officers then entered the property where officers arrested five other men and one woman on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm whilst prohibited after two air rifles were found inside his car.
A police spokesman said: “During a further search of the property, officers located a large quantity of white and brown powder believed to be cocaine, amphetamine and heroin.
They also recovered drugs paraphernalia, mobile phones and a large quantity of cash.

A 42-year-old man - arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Controlled Class A Drug,
A 45-year-old man - arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of criminal property & possessing a firearm whilst prohibited,
A 33-year-old man - arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property,
A 15-year-old boy - arrested for obstructing a search under The Misuse of Drugs Act
