THIS dedicated MMA youngster will spar for six hours straight in aid of charity.

Declan Rigby will spa and roll for a solid six hours in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in aid of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

His challenge will take place from 10am on Sunday, November 24 at the HAMMA gym on Duke Street, where Declan is a member.

The youngster from Sutton Leach, featured in the Star after he triumphed to win a North West MMA belt.

Declan decided that he wanted to do something for charity and came up with the idea to take on the challenge.

Mum Emma said: "We are looking for sponsorship and for people to come down to train with him and show him your support.

"Anyone and everyone, adult or child, are welcome. You don't need to be able to do MMA to have a go at rolling with declan. All entry fees will go to the Foundation as will sponsorship."

After Declan's regional belt success, Sean Martin of HAMMA, said: "He trains five to six days a week in both MMA and also rugby.

"He loves both sports and is a lovely down to earth kid. He is disciplined, passionate and always eager to learn new techniques. He is definitely one to keep your eyes out for."
