STARGAZERS and firework lovers are invited to this year's Spark in the Park to mark Bonfire Night, with a special focus on the stars.
As part of a Liverpool City Region wide arts project to inspire communities to rediscover their neighbourhoods and spend time stargazing, an event called Constellations Presents: The Creation, will take place on Tuesday, November 5.
The event at Sherdley Park will aim to dazzle thousands of spectators through a fireworks display, launched in rhythm with music.
The event – which follows-on from the award winning ‘Lost Castles’ project – will be run to coincide with the annual ‘Spark in the Park’ extravaganza, one of Merseyside’s biggest organised firework displays.
Entry into the event (from 6pm) is free – and hot food and drinks will be available from a number of stalls on the night to keep everyone warm – while a children’s funfair, open until 8.30pm, will also be in the park that evening to add to the fun.
Car parking is available at Mere Grange; the Islamic Centre; Marshalls Cross Road; Sherdley Park; Lea Green Station and Sutton Leisure Centre for £10 per vehicle. Event organisers are encouraging visitors to travel by public transport where possible.
In a statement, St Helens Council, said the display will get underway at approximately 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 5.
