IT was another night of crucial votes in Parliament this evening on Brexit.
For the first time, the Government won approval for its withdrawal agreement with the EU.
But it lost a crucial second vote asking for more time for MPs to debate the agreement.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson says there will now be a pause on the decision and indicated he could call for a General Election before Christmas.
St Helens North MP Conor McGinn and St Helens South and Whiston MP Marie Rimmer both voted against the agreement and against the Government’s timetable for agreeing the deal.
