IT was another night of crucial votes in Parliament this evening on Brexit.

For the first time, the Government won approval for its withdrawal agreement with the EU.

But it immediately lost a crucial second vote with MPs demanding longer than two days to debate the agreement.

This timeline was set so the UK could leave by October 31.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says there will now be a pause on the decision and indicated he could call a General Election before Christmas.

Warrington’s MPs Helen Jones (North) and Faisal Rashid (South) both voted against the agreement and against the Government’s timetable for agreeing the deal.
