HIGH schools across St Helens have been ranked according to their latest set of GCSE results.
The schools are ranked by the government’s Progress 8 scores, which measure the progress pupils made between their year six SATs and their GCSEs in year 11.
Haydock High has topped the borough's rankings according to its Progress 8 score of 0.21, climbing five places from sixth last year.
Meanwhile, Rainhill High, who came top in 2018 is in second place for this year with 0.11.
Out of the mainstream secondary schools, St Cuthbert's is bottom of the borough's list on -0.76.
