POLICE have discovered a stolen car and are now forensically testing the vehicle.

A car stolen in a burglary was found in the early hours.

The vehicle was discovered in Lorne Street in Farnworth after being taken in a burglary carried out in Astley Bridge.

Police are now carrying out forensic examinations and say they will return it to the owner once they are finished with the investigations.

Greater Manchester Traffic Police tweeted: "Stolen in a burglary from Astley Bridge its just been recovered in Farnworth on Lorne Street by #XT18 it will be returned to the owner once forensically examined."
