THE Saints hordes will travel to Old Trafford, Manchester in their thousands today to watch the team compete in a record-breaking 11th Grand Final.

After finishing top of the table by a 16-point margin - another record - those fans will pack out the Stretford End and hopefully cheer Saints on to their first Super League title since 2014.

Although Saints start has favourites, any confidence the fans have is tempered by what happened at Wembley where they wilted in the heat.

Saints play a Salford side taking part in their first ever appearance at the Old Trafford ground.

It is Justin Holbrook's last game in charge before he returns to Australia to coach in the NRL.

He said: “They are playing well as a team - so we have to raise our game.”

“A lot of neutrals will be rooting for Salford and I am fine with that.

“On the flip side I get to work with these boys every week. We know what we want to achieve and we want to win on Saturday as much as them.

“It is shaping up for a great game and it has been a great season. One more good game would do it justice.”

The game kicks off at 6pm with the pre match entertainment provided by Shed Seven.

Fans in the city centre should keep their eyes out for a free lift to the ground on Saturday.

Betfred boss Fred Done is laying on a fleet of taxis to take match-goers from Manchester city centre to Old Trafford for the Betfred Super League Grand Final.

Ten black cabs, decked out in company colours, will be on-call between 10am and 6pm ahead of the eagerly-awaited showdown between Saints and Salford Red Devils.

Fans can bag a free ride to the game by simply showing their Grand Final ticket to the driver before boarding.
