A WOMAN escaped with only a minor injury after a crash where one car ended up on its roof.

Police were called to Prescot Road at the junction with Lugsmore Lane at around 6.25pm to reports of a crash between a grey BMW 216D and a Ford BMAX.
The Ford was on its roof, but all involved managed to get out of both vehicles safely.
A police spokesperson said: "One woman suffered a minor injury from the crash, and paramedics attended, as did two fire engines.
"Prescot Road and Lugsmore Lane were closed close to the scene until 9.53pm."
