A MOTORCYCLIST in his 20s was taken to hospital after coming off his vehicle on the St Helens Linkway.
Police and ambulance were called to the Linkway, close to the junction with Elton Head Road on Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 2.30pm.

Paramedics treated the man, who was taken to hospital with back pain.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 2.29pm. A motorcyclist had lost control and was thrown from the bike on the Linkway going towards the M62.
"No other vehicles were involved. The motorcyclist was treated by paramedics."
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance added: "We treated a man in his 20s. He was complaining of back pain and we took him to hospital."
