MAGISTRATES have ordered a thief to be electronically tagged.
At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Eugen Portelekey, aged 20, of Barrie Way, Bolton, pleaded guilty to stealing a sat nav, USB stick, cash and aftershave on January 13 last year.
He had initially denied the offence but then changed his plea and also admitted breaching a previously imposed community order by not attending unpaid work.
His electronic tag will monitor a 7pm to 7am curfew imposed for 12 weeks by magistrates.
Portelekey was also ordered to pay his victim £385 in compensation and he was told he must also pay an £85 victim surcharge.
