EMERGENCY roadworks which have caused havoc for passengers and closed a major bus route have now ended.
Buses going to Atherton and Leigh have been disrupted as the Leigh Guided Busway was closed in recent days for emergency engineering works.
The busway was shut between the Sale Lane and Astley Street stops for services heading in the direction of Leigh. But now the works have ended, according to Transport for Greater Manchester.
In a tweet, the transport group said: "The Guided Busway has now fully re-opened following emergency track works. Bus services are to resume normal route along the Busway."
