FIREFIGHTERS spent more than hour tackling a blaze which broke out in a pub outbuilding this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to The Golden Lion on Church Road, Rainford, today, with three engines in attendance.
An outbuilding was found to be on fire.
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "We were alerted at 3.39pm and on scene at 3.47pm. Three engines attended.
"On arrival, crews found a pub outbuilding - 15m by 10m - on fire.
"Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a main jet and two hose reels to tackle the fire.
"Crews left the scene at 4.59pm.”
