Closure on East Lancs following 'serious accident'
A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a parked wagon on the East Lancs.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, September 29).
At 1.20am, emergency services were called to the East Lancs Road, Liverpool-bound, between Blindfoot Lane, Rainford and Knowsley Lane, Prescot to reports of a collision between a Kia Picanto and a stationary wagon parked in a layby.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police have said.
The road has now been reopened.
