ST HELENS Council has issued a warning to residents after receiving reports of a scam text message being sent to residents.
The council says it has received reports that some residents have received a message asking them to click a link to get a refund on their council tax.

The authority has issued a warning stating the messages are not from the council and urging people not to click on any links or to share bank details.
St Helens Council said: "We are getting reports that some residents have received a text messages asking them to click a link to get a refund on their council tax. These are not from us so please do not click any links or share any of your banking or personal details."
