Motorists warned of emergency closure of East Lancs Road for repairs
MOTORISTS are being warned of an emergency closure along a stretch of the East Lancashire Road tonight (Wednesday).
St Helens Council, which manages the dual carriageway, says the Lancs will be closed eastbound (Manchester direction) at its junction with Blindfoot Road, Rainford due to a collapsed manhole.
A council statement read: "The work is expected to be completed overnight, between 10pm and 6am."
