A MAN has been arrested after a brick was hurled through a car window on a hotel car park in Whiston.

Officers received reports of a man trying car door handles on the Village Hotel car park on Fallows Way, Whiston.

When they arrived at the car park, police found a vehicle which had suffered damage with a brick believed to have been thrown through the rear window.

A 39-year-old man from Huyton was detained by officers and arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle.

The suspect was taken to a custody suite by police whose investigation is ongoing.
