TWO teenagers have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 11 at around 8.45pm on Pennine Drive, Parr.
The boy is reported to have been stabbed in the thigh by a youth who was part of a group of "six to seven" others.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for a non-life-threatening wound to his thigh.
An attempt was also made to stab one of the victim's friends. This attempted assault was by another member of the larger group, police say.
A 17-year-old boy from Newton-le-Willows and a 17 year-old boy from Bury have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent
Both remain in custody.
