A FIRE has broke out at a former Labour Club this afternoon, Monday.

Two fire engines were sent to the disused Moss Bank Labour Club on Queensway at around 2.10pm and tackled a small blaze on the first floor.

Four firefighters used four breathing apparatus and a high pressure hose reel to battle the flames.

A ventilation fan was in operation to clear the smoke.

Firefighters were on the scene until around 3.45pm.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

The incident has happened less than two weeks after another fire at the property on August 27, where the remains of a cannabis farm was found.
