MORE than 17,000 ravers gathered for a night of dance on Saturday as the sixth annual Reminisce Festival once again took over Sherdley Park.

The festival included performances by 90s act D:Ream, Ultra Nate, The Venga Boys and Whigfield, plus 150 other global acts and DJs over six big top arenas.

Popular favourites House diva Julie McKnight also hit the stage as well as Sandy B in the Love House arena, plus N Trance in the Clubland arena, DJ Alligator and Ian Van Dahl.

Organisers took to Facebook after the event saying: “I honestly don’t think there’s another festival with an atmosphere in the arenas like we have - screams and amazing roars all over the park all day and night.

“Life is all about team work and I cant thank all the team enough , this whole festival is put together by friends and family, we do it all ourselves and we will continue to do it that way so we can keep it the personal and special festival it is.

“The biggest thank you is to you loy who over the past six years have made this festival go from 2,000 to 17,000 without all your support we couldn’t do it

“After the recent deaths at Creamfields and Leeds festival, I had sleepless nights worrying that someone would not get home to their family and I'm so happy to say that everyone did.

“Thank you all so much.”
