MOST eight-year-olds this month are probably concentrating on their first week back at school.

But for rising star Jude Riordan, it's all about getting back on set of hit Sky One show Brassic alongside Michelle Keegan.

Brassic follows the lives of Vinnie and his five friends, as they live their lives in their northern town of Hawley. One of those friends is Erin (Keegan) and Jude is playing her cheeky son Tyler.

Jude, from Lea Green, first hit our TV screens in 2017 after starring in The Secret Life of Five Year Old's on Channel 4.

Since then the St John Vianney pupil has gone on to appear in CBBC programmes and several adverts and last year landed the coveted role as Tyler in first season of Brassic.

Filming has already started for season two, with Jude joining the cast to film his scenes on September 17.

His proud mum Kellie, 39, said: "Jude is just so excited to get back on set, the cast are amazing with him.

"Even though he can't watch the show himself because it's for adults and includes strong language, we let him watch his scenes and he just loves it.

Jude with the rest of the cast

"After the Secret Life of Five Year Olds he just decided he liked doing acting and since then we got him an agent and he's doing really well.

"He's always got on well with people but I'm amazed how he gets on with all the adult actors, and Michelle Keegan is just so lovely with him.

St Helens Star:

Cheeky Jude loves acting

"The show is just so funny, we never expected the reaction to be this big but we are made up.

"Saying that though Jude is unfazed by it all and when he's not filming he's just like any other boy, playing on his bike and having fun.

"We are very proud of him and hope others tune in and watch the show."

Episodes of Brassic season one are available to view on Sky One and on Now TV.
