A TEENAGER was given a suspended sentence after admitting to carrying a knife in a public place.
Connor Sholliker, of Wilson Road, Prescot was handed an eight-week sentence at Liverpool Youth Court on Monday after pleading guilty to the charge at an earlier hearing.
The 19-year-old was also ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and pay costs of £122.
A 17-year-old boy from Prescot, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also admitted the same charge and was given a nine-month referral order and told to pay costs of £106.

The sentencing follows an incident when police officers from the Matrix Priority Crime Team recovered two knives after a stop check of two men on Johnson Avenue in Prescot on July 10.
They were taken into custody and charged with possessing a knife in a public place.
Both knives recovered will be destroyed.
