THE Steve Prescott Bridge will be lit up blue tonight to mark three years since the death of knife crime victim Daniel Fox.

Daniel, from Thatto Heath, died on September 2, 2016 after he was fatally stabbed on North John Street.

The 29-year-old's family have dedicated themselves to raising awareness of knife crime and educating youths of the dangers and consequences by establishing a charity in his memory called the Daniel Fox Foundation.

His family and friends are asking others to join them in remembrance tonight at 8pm on the bridge

His aunt, Dawn Jones, who is one of the spokespeople for the Daniel Fox Foundation, said: "Miss and love you always my beautiful nephew Daniel blue eyes.

"You were stolen from us by a coward carrying a knife three years ago today.

"But your legacy will live on in The Daniel Fox Foundation #nomoreknives Knive Crime education programme in schools, colleges, and other organisations.

"Helping students young and old make better choices about carrying or using a knife. The Foundation aims to keep children and our communities a safer place.

"We will rise above the evil idiots who carry knives, keep Daniel's name alive and do the right thing for you .

"Please join us tonight 8pm for 8.30pm on the Steve Prescott bridge in memory of Daniel"
