A SCARECROW invasion has taken place in a community.
Scarecrows have been seen scattered throughout the Downall Green and Garswood areas.
The brainchild of Val Finney, from Leyland Green Road, the scarecrow festival saw residents put up scarecrows at their properties.
The idea has proved a great success after receiving a great response from residents decorated their gardens in style.
And the effort has seen more than £300 raised for the Church of Holy Trinity in the area.
Val says she has been "overwhelmed with the response" and is hoping to have the festival again next year.
