TWO boys and a man have been arrested after police pursued a stolen car that reached speeds of more than 70mph on a residential street.
The car, which was stolen during a burglary in Rainhill, was spotted by officers on Monday afternoon.
Two boys aged 15 and 16 and a 19-year-old man were arrested in Halewood, Merseyside following the police's pursuit of the stolen vehicle.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "Officers pursued the vehicle along Baileys Lane which was sighted reaching speeds of more than 70mph along a residential road.
"The stolen vehicle was brought to a stop on Aldersgate Drive a short time later as officers moved in to detain all three suspects on board the vehicle which was later recovered.
"All three males remain under investigation."
