IN response to the report about county lines and the criminal exploitation of children (Star, August 15).


Drugs are ruining society. There is nothing for the young to aspire to. Minimum wage, temporary jobs with no long term prospects or making quick money selling drugs.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to work out what they will choose.


Hopefully last week’s Star article will highlight the problem and may generate some support from central government, but then again like other northern towns, they will cast us on to the scrap heap.
