St Helens Star:

A spokeswoman from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service says an electrical issue has been found to have caused the blaze.

She said: "The suspected cause is an electrical issue, either with the main consumer unit. However, because of the extent of the damage, an electrical issue with one of the vehicles can't be totally ruled out."

During the blaze, a fire service spokesman said: "On arrival crews found an industrial unit, approximately 20m x 10m, well alight. The fire had spread to adjacent units.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus gained access to the property. Two hose reel branches are in use, as well as main branches."
