Delays to Newton-le-Willows after M6 accident
THERE is congestion to Newton-le-Willows after an incident on the M6.
Traffic is slow moving due to an accident involving a car towing quad bikes on M6 Southbound from Junction 21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston) to Junction 20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange).
A trailer carrying two quad bikes had lost a wheel and the car towing it had lost control causing an oil spillage across lanes one and two.
Travel time is around 30 minutes.
All lanes have been re-opened.
