The knife was seized by police
A KNIFE has been seized by police after searches were carried out in a park near Whiston Hospital.
Officers scoured Henley Park, Whiston as part of Operation Target, which aims to disrupt serious and organised crime.
They located a red handled blade in the bushes near to Delph Lane.
Images of the searches and the knife were released by police officers in Knowsley.
A police spokesperson said: “Thanks to everyone who took the time out of their day to speak with officers and thank them for their efforts in tackling knife crime.
“It's good to see that our work doesn't go unnoticed.”
