HOUR-long delays are reported on the M6 at rush hour after a crash.
Two lanes of the motorway were closed southbound due to an accident between junction 22 at Newton-le-Willows and junction 23 at Haydock.
The carriageway was fully closed after the crash - in which a Land Rover towing a cattle box is believed to have overturned - at around 3pm, but has reopened since.
It is believed that nobody involved suffered any injuries, and the cows are being moved into a different trailer.
Delays are reported back to junction 26 at Orrell, with travel times through the area estimated at around 60 minutes.
Long tailbacks are also reported on the northbound carriageway due to people slowing to look at the accident.
Queues are snaking back to junction 19 at Knutsford, with journeys on the stretch also taking around an hour.
