A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with a wrist injury after being involved in a crash with a car.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene of the collision between a Nissan Micra and a motorbike at the junction of Birchley Road and Rainford Road in Billinge.

The driver of the Nissan Micra stopped at the scene.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 6.25pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 13) to reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a Nissan Micra in Birchley Road at the junction with Rainford Road.
"Emergency services attended and the rider of the bike was taken to hospital with a minor wrist injury."
A North West Ambulance spokeswoman added: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene. There was one patient, a man in his 30s, who was taken to hospital. His injuries weren't considered to be serious."
