TWO motorists brought Burtonwood to a standstill by refusing to give way in a remarkable road rage standoff.
Penny Lane was ground to a halt at around 3pm on Saturday, August 10, when a bus and a car came head to head – with vehicles parked up on both sides of the road and neither driver backing up to let the other through.
The man behind the wheel of the gold Volkswagen is heard bragging about his £40,000 car and telling the bus driver to ‘get a proper job’ – before adding ‘bye bye licence’.
Motorists were left stuck for around 15 minutes before the coach eventually reversed to let the car through.
