Police are appealing for information after they were called out to a report of a group of teenagers damaging the wall, at the back of Penny's Pit Park, off Warrington Road.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We had a report just before 6.50pm last night (Monday) that a group of nine youths, aged around 13 to 15, had damaged a wall on Warrington Road, Rainhill.
"They then made off on foot across Penny’s Pit Park in the direction of the Victoria."
