A MUCH-LOVED town centre bookshop is to close its doors in the near future, it has been announced.
Popular shop Wardleworths on Westfield Street, St Helens is to close "in the next month or so", it has announced via its Facebook page.

The independent bookstore has become an institution in St Helens and has seen a host of well-known personalities and sporting figures host book signings over the years.
The post announcing the upcoming closure, published on July 17, stated: "Many of you will now know that unfortunately and with deep regret Wardleworths will be closing in the next month or so.
"It has been a big place in the town for near on 40 years and we will be very sorry to see it go.
"A closing down sale has started with 25 per cent off all stock. Come and make the most of it while you can.
"Thank you to our many regulars over the years."
