POLICE are appealing for help to trace a Whiston man who was jailed for grievous bodily harm who is wanted on recall to prison.

Officers are appealing for the public's help to find 52-year-old Sean Connolly.

Connolly, from Whiston, whose last known address was in Kirkdale, Liverpool, is being recalled to prison after originally being jailed for causing grievous bodily harm in May 2008 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He was released on licence on October 5, 2017 and recalled to prison on Monday, June 24, this year after breaching the conditions of his licence.

Officers are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to locate him.

He is thought to have links to the Widnes area.

Connolly is described as 5ft 9in tall, of medium build with greying brown hair and blue eyes.
