ONE of the world's favourite nannies is heading to the Hardshaw Centre this Saturday to entertain the borough's children.
Mary Poppins will head to the shopping centre’s new summer, indoor pop-up park, installed outside TJ Hughes and Cafe Zinho from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, July 27, where she will meet the crowds, sign autographs and sing some of her favourite songs – as well as grab a selfie.
The chill-out area, which is decked out in artificial grass, deckchairs and a bench, will also play host to a range of children’s activities over the summer, until the beginning of September, including craft sessions, flower headband making, cress heads, bug hunt and circus skills.
Jennifer Burnett, retail marketing manager of the Hardshaw Shopping Centre, said: “We know the six-week school holidays can be tiring for parents, as they try to look for fun things to keep their children entertained, so we hope this colourful indoor pop-up park will provide a few hours’ entertainment over the summer, even if it’s raining outside.”
