HEROIN and crack cocaine were found in a hotel room after police uncovered a double barrelled shotgun hidden in a loft.
After officers searched an address on Bertie Road in Norwich on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 they found that the loft hatch had been disturbed.
After looking inside they found a double barrelled shotgun inside a holdall.
Tests found fingerprints of James Elliot who was tracked to a hotel room in the city – where officers arrested him and to their surprise found £2,000 worth of drugs, £3,500 in cash and a mobile phone.
Analysis of the mobile phone later revealed it had sent and received multiple texts and calls in relation to the sale of crack cocaine and heroin.
On Friday, July 19, James Elliott, 26, from St Helens was jailed for six years after pleading guilty at Norwich Crown Court to two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
