THERE is a horrendous smell coming from the Veolia site at the top of Ravenhead Road.
Residents have complained to the Environment Agency, St Helens Council and the company itself and still the issue persists.
This is despite guarantees that there would be no odour at all when the site was seeking planning permission and despite the company supposedly putting in measures to stop the smell.
The smell spreads across the borough and is unbearable.
Residents of Factory Row and other nearby streets cannot open windows or spend any time outside their homes or in gardens because of the smell.
People are getting tired of excuses and I’m sure that many will come together to act if this issue is not resolved soon.
