IN response to the letter that we need bollards to stop motorists using footpaths.
St Helens Council and Merseyside Police are not interested in stopping motorists parking on the kerb.
The police say it’s not their problem and the council traffic wardens go blind when they see a motorist parking on the kerb.
It is an offence to park on the kerb as it is classified as obstruction of a footpath.
I live on Nutgrove Road and every day I cannot get out my house or walk past the junction due to cars parked on the kerb.
I regularly see young mums having to go in the road to get past cars parked on the kerb.
A fatal accident is waiting to happen.
So come on Thatto Heath councillors, do something about it.
