STAFF from Peel L&P, based in TraffordCity, took on the famous national 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge to raise over £7,500 for Once Upon A Smile and The Christie charity.

The 14-strong team hiked up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdown and finished in 23 hours and 50 minutes with just 10 minutes to spare!

John Peter Whittaker, assistant director of corporate development for Peel Group said: “We were delighted and somewhat relieved in completing it just under the 24-hour target, there was a great team spirit throughout and I would like to thank everyone who took part and everyone who supported our expedition through generous donations."

Angela Griffiths, Fundraiser from Once Upon A Smile said: “The event is such a challenge and we were delighted to follow the progress of the participants on social media. The money raised will enable us to continue supporting bereaved families at their time of need.”
