POLICE are investigating a two vehicle crash which closed a road for nearly two hours.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Mossborough Road and Rainford Bypass, on Thursday (July 11) at about 5.15pm following reports that a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Transported Mini Van had been involved in a collision.
Thre fire engines were called and a casualty had to be freed from one of the vehicles.
Two people, who were travelling in the mini van, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The road was also reopened just after 7pm and both vehicles were removed.
