"LINDA will be looking down and be proud of us for doing this."
Those are the words of Alec Fraser, after his family, helped by the Thatto Heath community, purchased a defibrillator in memory of his wife Linda.
Last year, mum-of-three Linda Fraser suffered a heart attack at Thatto Heath Station and died three days later.

Since then her family has worked to pay for defibrillators in the area so what happened to her will never happen to anyone else, with help from Northern Rail and HSS hire who paid for two in Linda's memory.
Donations made by the Thatto Heath and St Helens community have resulted in £2,200, which on Monday resulted in a defib being fitted in St Matthew's Church.

Alec Fraser, Linda's husband, 58, said: "It is truly overwhelming to know the community have helped us raise this money in Linda's memory and to have help from HHS and Northern to provide two others is amazing.
"I know it doesn't help Linda, but I know that Linda will be looking down and be proud of us for doing this.
"I couldn't be prouder of the Thatto Heath community for their help that day and since then. Thank you from all the family."
