THE Daniel Fox Foundation has this month joined forces with police PCSOs to host anti knife crime assemblies in primary schools across the borough.

Thatto Heath Primary School, Nutgrove Primary School and St Austins Primary School have so far been visited by The Daniel Fox Foundation and mini police.

The Mini Police are encouraged to take speaking parts alongside officers, providing facts about the law. They also have speaking parts for a role play delivered.

The pupils were then asked to give good and bad advice that they have picked up from the role play around knife crime.

The Daniel Fox Foundation is a charity set up in memory of Daniel Fox from Thatto Heath who died in 2016 after being slashed with a knife while out in St Helens.

He was 29.
