After his death, his grieving mum Michelle had a pendant made with his fingerprint on it, and was devastated after she lost the irreplaceable item last week.

After seeing her distress on Facebook, Fingerpost Community Group came to her aid and brought metal detectors to her home - eventually finding the precious locket in the back garden in less than 10 minutes.

Michelle Prescott, said: "I was absolutely devastated when the pendant with Alex's fingerprint on came off the clasp but was so overwhelmed when lovely people offered to help find it.

"So when Fingerpost Community Group came to my home in their own time with their metal detectors and found it within 10 mins, I honestly cant thank them enough.

"I'm one very happy mum to have a little bit of him back with me again."
