WITH the forecast set to continue to deliver more sunshine, we’ll see many heading to the beach to take advantage of the Mediterranean-like temperatures.
Last year RNLI lifeguards helped more than 30,000 people with incidents such as lost children, water sports incidents, people caught in rip currents, and also administering first aid.
If you’re heading to the coast, choose a lifeguarded beach. Our friendly, highly-trained lifeguards will be on hand to offer safety advice and help keep you and your loved ones safe while you enjoy the weather.
If you see someone in trouble this summer please dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
Tony Sayer, chairman RNLI St Helens Branch
