AFTER signing the petition for Gizmo`s law and reading updates that some councils are already checking for microchips in cats that have been killed in road traffic accidents, I was just wondering if our council was considering to do the same.
I have a cat myself, who is my pride and joy, and to think that if he was to be killed that councils would not check for a microchip to let me know as his owner, so I could bring him home, pains my heart.
To read that cats that are killed in parts of the country are thrown into bin wagons like rubbish is sickening.
These animals are not just pets they are family and are loved and wanted.
